Imperfections

After 4 days, the volume pot siezed up and would not budge. I replaced it with an identical part. Hopefully this will not happen again, but it also happened to my 2007 Jem7VWH, and several other recent Ibanez guitars, according to Jemsite forum members.

Digitech Bad Monkey overdrive pedal into the lead channel of my Marshall DSL50 head, with the amp's gain on 5. Great lead sound with lots of harmonic overtones.

Modifications

Before the guitar arrived I planned to change the pickups but I'm quite happy with them now, especially the neck pickup. I may eventually put stronger latches on the matching case because they feel a little flimsy, but time will tell. Volume pot has been replaced with an original spec part - see "Imperfections."

Bought from Matts Music. This thing is BRIGHT. I hadn't seen an RF in person since I was about 13 so opening the case took me right back to being a kid. Absolutely flawless finish and aside from the neck needing a bit of a tweak it plays very well.
